FILM SYNOPSIS: In the 40 years since Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter left the White House, millions of people of every race, culture, and creed have made the pilgrimage to the Carters’ rural hometown of Plains, Georgia for an extraordinary glimpse into the folksy life of America’s longest-living presidential couple and their dedication to equality and peace. Yet Plains is haunted by a segregated past. A train track still divides the town into two–Black and White. Is separate always segregated? Is different always divided? This is the question. This is PLAINSPOKEN.
