92nd Annual "Singing on the Mountain" Welcomes Andrew Greer

LINVILLE, NC — Nashville’s Andrew Greer — who captivated the audience at the 2015 Singing on the Mountain in his tribute to good friend and fellow musician, the late George Hamilton IV — is expected to help draw thousands of people to the MacRae Meadows of Grandfather Mountain on June 26 for the 92nd annual Singing on the Mountain.A multiple Dove Award-nominated singer/songwriter and respected author, Greer will be joined by dozens of his fellow musicians and vocalists for the all-day “singing, preaching and dinner on the grounds,” as the event has long been known.According to event spokesman Harris Prevost, “We’ve got one of the best lineups we’ve had in years.”Sharing the stage with Greer before and after his address will be crowd favorites Michael Combs, The Cockman Family, The Rick Webb Family, The Primitive Quartet, Smoky Mountain Reunion (featuring former members of the Inspirations, Archie Watkins and Troy Burns), Patricia Smith, Amantha Mill and The Parsons.A native Texan, Greer is known for his “old soul sound,” said Prevost. “His voice is really beautiful and very spiritual — he is the real thing.”The event begins at 8:30 a.m. and the music continues through the afternoon, with the midday break around 1 p.m. for Greer's portion.  To read more or find out more about times and location ... click here.
